How did our company start...

It's not often that you get asked, "how did your company start?", most people just assume it was a happy accident. Well, in truth it kind of was.... but I prefer to focus on the reasons we have kept going and striving to improve quality of life in NW Oklahoma.

In short, we started this thing out of a need to help out one small community in 2021. Before we knew it we were 18 member cities deep with more being added every month. We began with a heart to spread the ability for communities to resolve long standing nuisances.

Fast forward to 2025, we have added 3 staff members, have expanded our services to building inspection, plan review and community development services. Not too shabby for a guy who thought this job would only last until I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up.

Henry Code was founded on the principal of establishing long term sustainable solutions for communities that would improve the quality of life in your town. The old idea of "just write citations, they'll figure it out," simply put doesn't cut the cake anymore.

In todays climate, fines are not only impractical but they create an indebtedness that doesn't solve the problem. Once the fine is paid, the problem persists. If you fail to pay the fine, you may go to jail and who does that benefit?

Our aim is educate the public about what benefit community development can be for your town. There are direct economic benefits tied to the health of your community. While yes we are code compliance, our aim is not to hit you with tickets and all the negative you hear about this profession.
